Hollerbach Joins Montgomery Economic Mission to China and Korea
Jack Hollerbach, President and CEO of HarVest Bank of Maryland and a member of the Maryland Chamber’s Board of Directors, will join Montgomery County Executive Isaiah Leggett this month on the economic mission to China and Korea. Hollerbach was invited to attend after proving to be a strong ambassador for the county in the its 2007 mission to India.
“I am honored to be joining County Executive Leggett and the economic team for a second time.” said Hollerbach. “HarVest is interested in promoting the general business climate in Montgomery County, on the expectation that the Bank will continue to grow as the business climate expands. All ethnic groups and business types are represented in the Bank’s leadership, whether in management, on the Board or on the Advisory Board. We hope to develop an understanding of the cultures in these countries in order to better serve existing clients and attract customers from these communities to the Bank”
The County Executive’s Mission will tap into commercial and partnering opportunities for Montgomery County companies in China and Korea and promote the county to businesses seeking strategic opportunities in North America. The Mission will focus for several days in Seoul and the Chungbuk Province in Korea and then will move on to Shanghai and Beijing. Meetings with government and business officials will explore ways to encourage inbound investment in the County and develop economic links.
